Black Friday proceeds match to local organizations

This Black Friday Fosters will be doing something completely different. We’re donating to other organizations in the local community that are in need of help. We will match our Black Friday sales in the form of gift cards to the store and donate those to two awesome organizations. Kandi’s Kitchen and Love And Charity Mission.

Kandi’s Kitchen. Kandi is a mother of 9 and grandmother of 4. She’s been helping families for 15 years. It all started when her son’s friend was hit by a car going to the nearest candy store 12 blocks away. So she started a “kandi” store out of her house for the kids to come get candy without risking getting hurt. She also gives children clothing, food, and other things they may be in need of that they aren’t getting elsewhere. She cooks and will provide meals to anyone that needs one. And in her spare time she braids and cuts hair. Truly a person that cares for the community she lives in.

Love and Charity Mission is a 50 year old organization, founded by Louise Hunter. Their tagline is “It’s all about helping somebody”. They provide clothing and shelter to people in need, 24/7. They’re located in Racine at 1331 Rapids Drive. And they wanted me to let you all know that if anyone ever needs help, to call them at 262-883-5824.

We chose these 2 because they are rooted deep in the local community, helping those in need. Both organizations selflessly open their hearts and lives to anyone who asks. We are built by the community, so we must take care of our community.

Please show your support by coming by on Black Friday and browse around and pickup an item or two. We’ve got a HUGE selection of everything, so we’re sure they’re something for everyone.

Thank you to everyone who has shopped or supported our mission along the way. It’s been an exciting adventure, that’s for sure. And we hope for many years to come.
